Our Plan of Action
Build a Statewide Coalition
Hundreds of parents and teachers have already made their voices heard during the 2025 legislative session. Now, we’re organizing statewide. We are looking for families,educators and community leaders around Oregon to join our coalition. They will serve as hubs in their communities and SOS will serve as the connecting point to deliver messages and action alerts.
Push for Long-Term Funding Solutions
The cycle of biennial budget band-aids needs to end. We will demand systemic changes to the way Oregon funds education that results in sustainable funding at the level our students need and doesn’t pit schools against other priorities.
Hold Lawmakers Accountable
We will work with lawmakers statewide to pursue funding that provides safe schools and quality education for all students in Oregon. It is their job to ensure schools are funded and we will hold them accountable to their commitment as our elected officials.
